Salmon fish cakes and warm potato salad

Here's an easy dish. All you need is salmon, onions, carrots and parsley. Blend it all together with an egg and make into small rounds. Coat it with bread crumbs and pan fry in oil. Make sure you season it well. Serve it with salsa and warm potato salad.

Honey pork chops with baby carrots

Wow! Juicy pork chops is the way to go. Season the pork chops with sale, pepper or any other spices. Then pan fry both sides for 4 mins. Then place in oven at 180C for 10 mins till cooked through. Let it rest before serving with its juice.

Apple raisin oat crumble with peach ice cream

My wife finally cracked the apple crumble. It's delicious! Served with peach vanilla Haagen Daaz ice cream. Yummy!

Crispy spicy turmeric prawns and vegetables

My first try and it works! It's all in the batter. What you need is a can of beer, 150g self raising flour, spices - turmeric, salt, pepper, garam masala, cumin, chili powder. Mix it till batter resembles double cream texture. Then heat up in a deep frying pan (preferably non stick) till about 180C. Dip the prawn or cauliflower in the batter - shake off excess and fry in batches. Serve with lemon and chili sauce.

Poached eggs with honey mustard vinaigrette

Here's a new creation. Simply poach an egg and serve it on a toasted ciabatta and dress it with honey mustard vinaigrette. Excellent with some crispy sausages.

Mussels with wine & cream

Get the live ones, just note that you'll have to clean them up first. In a big pot, fry with olive oil - onions, tomatoes, chili and parsley stalks. Once heated, pour in a glass of Riesling, lite cream and heat till boiling. Pour in the mussels, shake the pot till all are covered with the mixture. Cover for 5 minutes. Discard the unopened mussels and serve in a deep bowl with a toasted ciabatta.
